What are Honor Points?
What is an Honor Tribe?
Every time a circle member attends an event, campout, or meeting
they earn points for their circle. At the end of the year these
points are added up by our Roster Bearer. The circle with the most
honor points becomes the Honor Circle for the following year. This
circle gets honor t-shirts free for the child and the father.
The Honor Circle also receives privileges such as leading the campfire parades, as well as first to eat at outings. The Honor Circle is a distinction of a circle using the program to it’s fullest. The Honor Points awarded for each activity vary, and a complete list is available from the Roster Bearer.
Other tribal awards
At the end of the year, the Shorthouse also honors two other circle with either the "Spirited Tribe Award" or the "Mighty Tribe Award". These are voted on by the Shorthouse.
